On. Off. On. Off. Achieving new health goals in Thailand and Asia

I hope you feel vibrant and welcome to 2020!  

Your new year is here. What do you want to happen this year? How do you shift from repeating conditioned behaviors that you do not want and improve your mind, body and spirit this 2020?

From my perspective and understanding – it begins with your self image. The picture you have of yourself, deep within your mind.  

This picture, keeps you performing habitual behaviors that reinforce your self image. Your self image is an automated subconscious program, that wants you to remain as you are. You may want to earn more income, yet your self image pulls you back to what is, ‘normal’.

You may want to drop body fat, but your self image is determined you stay at your current weight. And every time you aim to create a new image, (start a new exercise regime, eat better, earn more money, etc.) it typically lasts a little while and then boom…. the old image kicks in and that new behavior is thrown out the window. All done subconsciously… and we are often left wondering… what happened?  

Amazing huh? You see, it’s very difficult to upgrade anything in your life, without reprogramming your self image.

So this year, beginning now, use the power of your imagination to create a new self image in your mind. Hold the vision – even when life gets challenging. (Yes… it will get challenging… that’s the process of upgrading your life)

Brain Games – Hit Your 2021 New Year Resolutions

It’s mid January 2021.

And I hope your New Year resolutions remain strong!

If you want to hit your new goals, the following paragraph is important. Research indicates that millions upon millions of people set good intentions every year, yet only a very small percentage achieve their goals. Less than 10% truth be told. And those 10% are the same people each year. In other words, you either know how to achieve better goals every year or you don’t.


Are you going to be a part of that small percentage this year ?

I hope so.

Many moons ago, I remember when I first wanted to work with celebrities. People thought I was crazy. Others told me it’s too difficult. And I will tell you, at times I thought I was crazy, and it was difficult.

But I did reach my goals.

I had to lift my self confidence and push past worry, doubt and fear. I had to move countries. I had to change careers. Most importantly, I had to rewire my brain, because my brain (like all brains) wanted to keep me ‘safe and in my comfort zones.

You have a brain right? Well your brain wants you to remain exactly as you are. Year in. Year out. Same Same. Maybe some small growth, but pretty much “same-same”, as they say here in Thailand.

And the BIG THREE that most of us want to improve, our Health, our Wealth and our Happiness, can be improved. Yet real change requires much more than a good new years resolution. Real change requires you changing. And that means pushing past current limits, mindsets and beliefs. You can live the life you want, but first, you must change your brain and personally grow.

Tapping Into Alpha

Everyone knows that human beings operate on three planes of motion. The energetic field, the intellectual mind and the human body. These inter-connected planes have been studied extensively for decades, but what most people in Asia still don’t realize is how to tap into higher energetic fields to improve success in life.

We have been conditioned (particularly in the West) to stay brain busy at what is known as the beta brain wave frequency. We often think this is the best place to perform from, to get better results.


However traditional cultures (Yes; Thailand & Asia) and modern brain scientists both understand that human beings are capable of reaching different states that can positively influence our results in life.

The alpha brain wave frequency is where brain waves are slowed and we go inside to an inner consciousness. Theta brain wave frequency is deeper, followed by Delta, which some cultures believe is where we can tap into higher intelligence. Delta is an unconscious, deep sleep state BTW.

Let’s stick to alpha brain wave frequencies. All top athletes tap into this state for better performance. Many top fortune 100 companies teach their executives to venture into this state. And the world’s best human potential leaders all teach, ‘Tapping into Alpha’ so that you get better results in life, business and health.


The reason the Alpha state is so powerful is because we allow ourselves to fully relax and tap into another realm of being. The alpha level is meditative in nature and leads to more creativity, better moods, and enhanced intuition. These lead to improved performance in all areas of life.

If you think, you can ‘think better’ to get improved performance you may be locked into a beta brain frequency – the conditioned mind. It might be time to use your higher faculties and venture into another state, so that you can perform at a higher level and create the life you want.

Breath This Goodness In Thailand!

I hope you feel magnificent! Could your breathing function improve?

Seriously. It may dramatically improve your life.

Every day your entire mind-body-spirit is powerfully impacted by the functionality of your heart and lungs.

Enjoy a full deep breath right now. Sit or stand up tall, lengthen your spine, relax your facial muscles and allow yourself to inflate through your nostrils like a balloon. Find a little more room by your ribs and breathe in some more goodness.


Now, breathe it all out and let any tension go.

Tension in your mind, your musculature, in your being – let it go.

Relax.

That took about 10-15 seconds. Imagine if you practiced quality breathing for 2-3 minutes a few times each day to enhance your mind-body wellbeing and your performance in life.

Could you find 2-3 minutes to work on your breathing mechanics?

Most of us can.

Here’s why it’s important – The pace of modern life in Thailand and Asia tends to leave us feeling overwhelmed and our breathing ends up short and rushed, which creates more tension in the body.The very mechanism designed to provide life and help us remain calm, can in fact trigger more internal stress and lead to lower energy levels.

The Best Exercise You Can Do Thailand!

I hope you feel magnificent.

We all know exercise has many benefits right?

Yet there is one form of exercise that outperforms all others hands down.

Professors, coaches and mystics throughout Asia including Thailand, have taught this for eons, yet many people continue to under value this form of training.

It’s your ability to exercise your imagination and train your mind to clearly see exactly what you want.

Your imagination requires a regular workout just like your physical body, to maintain optimal function. Exercising your imagination helps rewire your brain and can move you closer to your goals. But just like working out – consistency counts. When it comes to muscles – you either use them or lose them. This is also true with your higher faculties of mind.


The good news is that you can kick start your brain and your body at any time. Use your imagination, exercise it daily, train your mind to see in pictures what you are aiming for. Remember, anything you want to be, do or have must first be clearly seen in your mind.

This Ain’t Normal Asia

I trust and hope you are vibrant.

2020 is quickly running to an end and the world remains on standby. Wouldn’t it be great if more governments worldwide and here in Thailand and Asia stepped up their efforts to educate their people about real health and prevention of dis-ease.

Lock down may help this current situation, yet it does little to inspire or re-educate people how to truly be healthy. Did you know that everyday, year in, year out, millions of people in Thailand and Asia are impacted by chronic diseases that can be prevented? This is the real new norm.


I believe that it is time we seriously question why little to no resources are spent on educating people throughout the Asia Pacific Region and beyond on the fundamentals required for optimal well being.

I know you are reading this because deep inside of you know you can be well. You realize ‘the norm’ is life with dis-ease and you want to be at-ease. You also know that your lifestyle choices have a tremendous influence on your life and your well-being.

I remind you to continue working on your mindset.

I recommend you interact and work with people you love.

I encourage you to put your feet on the earth, or in the sand and move every day in mother nature.

I want you to stay strong, be active and fuel your body with delicious and nourishing foods.

I implore you to listen to your heart, to explore your meaning of existence and to certainly avoid, ‘following the norm’. For the current norms lead directly towards a life with dis-ease.

Play This – Today.

I hope you feel magnificent Thailand!

I boarded an airline this week to do some consulting in Bangkok, and while entering the aircraft their theme music was playing. I found my seat, buckled up and that ‘catchy’ song played again. And again.

As I reached for my headphones to muffle out their marketing message, I started thinking, what music is predominantly playing in my head? Are the lyrics I listen to uplifting and rewarding or are the songs downbeat?


When we landed in Bangkok, the music began again… the marketers of this company know very well that messages continuously played, through loud music, will enter into the minds of their passengers.

They know that they can influence the minds of thousands of people everyday, by forcing them to listen to what they want you to hear. This is how the mind is shaped and moulded.

What songs do you play over and over in your mind everyday? What lyrics do you choose to listen to? Are they what you want to hear? You can totally transform your life when you repeatedly expose your mind to new messages.

Being Your Best

Life Coaching in Thailand

 I hope you feel magnificent.

It’s 2020 and we are into the last quarter.

Are you happy with your progress throughout this year or are you getting the same results as last year? I know you want to improve the quality of your life, so here is something important to consider.
The oldest part of your brain is wired for survival and this means;

1) Your brain likes your life as it is – it wants you to remain the same.
2) The brain wants to store calories and save energy.
3) It remembers past events to predict your future.

This means that until you upgrade how your brain functions, it’s almost impossible to get new results in any area of your life.

Imagine going to a beautiful beach with your friends to enjoy a fantastic warm water ocean swim. It’s calm and dreamy. Idyllic and safe. Everyone can swim, yet some friends only dip their feet in the water’s edge, perhaps venturing up to their knees. They inform you that many years ago they nearly drowned, so it is impossible to go into the ocean above their knees. (Survival brain – controlling their life)


Others, with a different mindset, venture further out, yet only as long as they can touch the sand with their feet and can easily get back to shore. They tell you they are scared of being in deep water. (Survival brain, staying safe, does not like being uncomfortable, – controlling their life)

And a small group heads out to a pontoon 250m offshore. Half of them turn back at the 100m mark thinking ‘this is crazy’, ‘why am I doing this’, ‘I can’t do this’. (Survival brain sabotaging new attempts and / or processing and remembering this event for future reference – controlling their life) And only a couple make it to explore the unknown and experience a new perspective.


In each scenario, it is the person’s brain that is controlling the outcome. Everyone could have made it to the pontoon, yet only a few do. Fear, doubt and worry cause people to stay well within their comfort zones. This is why people never really hit the goals they desire in life. The brain signals you to stay in control, to stay safe. Your brain holds onto old patterns and keeps you stuck in familiar territory. The brain sabotages efforts to pursue something that has never been done before.

When you understand this, you can start doing things to rewire your brain and thus get new results in your life.
