Here is The Number One Factor For Aging Well

I hope you realize that you live in an incredible body.

Nothing on the planet is as complex. (As far as we know)

And your brain – body thrives on dynamic movement.

Psychologically – movement is the best medicine for lifting depression and helping you tune into the present moment. Physiologically – billions of cells are stimulated to grow and enhance your immune function.


Yet how many people invest in themselves to maintain their physical strength? Allocating specific times each week to ensure their future ROI is solid? Your strength is in your hands. No one can do this for you. No one. Muscle activation can’t be found in a pill, potion or bottle. The number one factor in aging well is lean muscle. Followed by strength.
Stay strong.

Lift, push and pull heavy stuff around a few times a week. You can get away with two sessions a week if that’s all you desire, but you must challenge your strength. (i.e. Whatever you lift, push or pull should be heavy enough so that you can repeat the lift a few times only) It might be in the gym, it could be loading up a wheelbarrow, it might be throwing something onto the back of your truck.


Being healthy means remaining as dynamic and as strong as possible

Feel Great Now – Here’s How

Today is the 30th of November!

Only December remains in 2021 – make it count.

And that’s rather easy to do, when you consider that NOW is all you really have.

Focus on how you feel right now. You can control those feelings – today and everyday – and if you do, your life will rapidly improve.

Feelings help wake you up by affecting your body. They are signals letting you know what you’re thinking about and focusing on.


Right now, you can think about whatever you want.

Anything at all.

The choice is yours.

You are very powerful.

Remember, your brain is an electrical switching station connected to the most incredible super computer system ever known; those dominant thoughts you think become your reality.

If you feel well, vibrant, upbeat – keep thinking good thoughts. When you feel the opposite, appreciate the feelings your body gives you and begin to monitor what you are focusing on. Change your focus. You can. You control your mind.

Better Your Brain and Body – Eat These Fatty Foods

Today…it’s all about your fat diet.

How important is fat in your life?

I mean fat consumption – eating quality fat.

It’s important. Very important.

It’s been long known that essential fats have a powerful effect on your vitality and health, yet modern society continues to over consume pro-inflammatory causing fats.

It’s 2021 and you’re probably still consuming too many omega 6 fatty acids in relation to omega 3’s!

Omega 6 fatty acids in moderation are essential for your well-being and must come from your diet – but that’s the issue, they’re found in many snacks we tend to over enjoy (pizza, cakes, salad dressings, corn chips, etc.) combined with the fact that most restaurants continue to use cheap vegetable or seed oils (corn, soy, sunflower) to fry up your food.

Physical aches and pains are one thing, however the silent inflammation that occurs over time inside your body is more insidious. So what to do? Your goal is to increase omega 3 fatty acids and reduce omega 6’s. (The recommended ratio is between 1:3 to 1:5) The easiest way to hit this target is to reduce the amount of processed and fried foods you eat. It’s that simple. Make a decision and swap in healthier, whole foods.


What about eggs? Well chickens raised on corn can produce eggs with additional omega 6’s… Agghh! Choose local free range, organic eggs to support yourself and your local farmer.

It’s 2021… keep working on raising your omega 3 fatty acids! (Oysters, sardines, anchovies, caviar, mackerel, salmon, herring, flax and chia seeds are some of the foods to help you do it)

Eliminate Anxiety. There is only one way.

Anxiety.

We’ve all experienced it.

Learning how to eliminate anxiety will make your life much more enjoyable.

The first thing to understand is that although we feel anxiety in our physical bodies, the root cause stems from an undisciplined mind.


An untamed mind tricks you into believing doubts or worries looping around upstairs. This automatically leads to fear on a subconscious level and physical anxiety follows.

Through the understanding of human nature and study of self, you will come to view worry and doubt as psychic triggers. They set in motion ‘stinking thinking’ that intensifies like a rolling snowball, and must set up the only corresponding emotion they can, (fear) unless the host (you) takes control of your mind.

The second thing to understand is that subconscious fear is bottled up inside. Worry compounds! If nervous tension is left unchecked it can lead to degenerative states, a lack of enthusiasm and often depression.


You don’t choose to feel anxious; and yet you do. At some point in your life you must realize that you have absolute conscious control of what you allow into your mind-body. When you really understand the nature of your mind, you will do everything in your power to eliminate subconscious fear from derailing your day. 

This is why self study and personal growth is so powerful if you want a better life.

FOODS & MOODS – Want To Feel Better?

I know you want good moods to support your lifestyle.

One great move to boost your mind, energy and life – is to eat foods that serve you.

Can you focus on eating foods that lift you up?

Good question.

What foods?

Well… look at the following list and contemplate how often you enjoy them?

  • Coffee
  • Sugar (in many disguises)
  • White Flour

Most of us tend to over enjoy these foods, which often backfires and leaves us with sour moods and / or low energy. Notice I said, ‘over enjoy’ – that simply means, too much of a good thing. Remember a diet is not about elimination – it encompasses embracing foods you enjoy. However, a diet that serves you, may mean modulating how much of a ‘good thing’ is a good thing.


Note: These foods are just examples, you might over enjoy alcohol, crisps and chocolate. The idea here is for you to think about foods you are drawn to, yet know they are not serving your long-term mental, emotional or physical wellbeing.

What would happen if your eating habits improved?

Everything would change.

2) Having a greater purpose in life will naturally lift your esteem. This often revolves around serving others; being a better mother, an incredible business leader, or role model father, for example. Working on your purpose naturally leads to more confidence because instead of thinking about yourself, you’re now thinking from a place of serving others first.

These two points help to program into your mind a new and more confident self image.

This week I encourage you to work on finding the good in other people and getting clear on your purpose for being on this planet.

Strange. Yet True.

Did you know that many people create trouble…

So that they can feel better…

Strange. Yet True.

This mainly happens when you’ve been burning the candle at both ends and feel a little run down.

Instances like yelling at staff because their service wasn’t up to par… or getting moody when life doesn’t go your way…


These little tantrums stimulate your adrenal glands to fire up and hey presto… the shot of cortisol you get… is often as addictive as a good cup of coffee. It raises your mental game, you feel energized and you’re empowered to get things done.

The problem however, and this is important – you’re wiring yourself to behave this way again and again… while ignoring the reality that;

a) What comes up must come down. You cannot stay ‘energized’!

b) Unchecked anger will lead to further exhaustion.

For a number of reasons this year has been stressful and if you’re mentally or emotionally frazzled, you’re more likely to go a little haywire and ‘demand a cortisol trip’ to help keep you going.

Always remember that basic lifestyle principles, inclusive of much needed downtime, is some of the best medicine you can self-prescribe. Look after yourself and have a fantastic week.

Everything Gets Better. Try this new exercise.

I spoke with a friend this week (John) who’s going through some challenges. He’s living in a new country, separated from his family and has a new role in life.

He’s struggling with the changes, so I asked him, “What’s one thing you could do that would help everything?” In an instant, he replied, “Exercise. When I exercise, everything gets better; my mind, my thinking process, my energy, even my eating.” John knows that exercise is powerful medicine.

But it only becomes powerful MEDS when you enjoy your exercise.

Remember, your M.E.D.S…

Mindful – Eating – Dynamic and Spiritual Practices

The D in your M.E.D.S model, is for dynamic movement that you enjoy.

There’s absolutely no point beating yourself up in the gym, on a spin bike or running around the block if your mind is full of pain, discomfort and negativity. Just as pointedly it’s absurd to go to yoga, swim laps or cycle up hills if your mental and emotional state is stressed-out during or after your exercise. When you consider the reality that you’re a spiritual being and that everything affects everything – it might be a wise idea to choose dynamic movements that you know will lift your spirits.


In John’s case he wanted to build his strength and enjoys body weight training. He chose to do a brisk morning walk in the fresh air followed by fifteen push ups and three chin ups. His medicine is purposeful for him. What’s right for you?

Remember life always gets better with your M.E.D.S.

Eat Up – This is Delicious

How’s your diet working for ya?

Be honest.

Are you happy and energetic most of the time?

If not – a great place to start – is to improve the quality of food entering your system.

One dietary practice to help is to eat food produced in a manner that supports surrounding ecosystems and life on the planet. By supporting biodiverse lands and free range organic farmers, you help sustain the land for generations to come and gift yourself higher quality nutrients required to sustain life in your body.


Think about it – you are an intricate system of systems and your fuel choices impacteverything going on inside. Your thinking, moods, hormones, digestion, elimination, energy production, everything. If you want better headspace or a stronger leaner body stop supporting commercial chemical farms that disrupt the systems of your body and feed yourself quality nutrients that serve you.

After all – when you say, “DINNER IS SERVED” – wouldn’t it be nice that you’re serving up real food and not chemical residues?

Unfortunately we live in a very toxic soup and you become what you consume.
